The birth of Uvumbuzi Africa was inspired by the Uvumbuzi Club members who have been passionate about conservation by discovery since the 70’s. We exist to create a platform for, and provide support to all stakeholders in participation, ownership and leadership of conservation in Africa, spearheaded by the youth/women.
Citizen engagement and ownership of conservation efforts is more vital than ever as we claim responsibility for the wildlife and natural resources that, not only sustain us, but often demonstrate to us our vulnerability and the consequences of our actions and negligence.
To encourage, promote and support citizen participation and ownership of sustainable conservation by discovery of wildlife and the environment in Kenya and the broader African continent, through advocacy, conservation philanthropy and stewardship.
