Moses Kamau
Position: Founder & Executive Director

Moses is our Executive Director, wildlife conservationist and a founding member of Uvumbuzi Africa. His passion for conservation was sparked at an early age by a father who loved nature. He possesses a wide range of experience at having worked on conservation, legal and human rights initiatives over the past 20 years and has also worked on media advocacy for the Kenya Constitution.

He has been at the helm of the organization as the Executive Director since its inception and has been passionate in steering it towards local youth and women participation in conservation. He is an advocate of the high court of Kenya and serves on the board of various organizations. He holds a Masters Degree in Politics and Contemporary History and an undergraduate degree in Law with Philosophy

wildlife conservationist Natasha Nyangara Gatungo

Natasha Nyangara Gatungo
Position: Programmes Manager

She received her LL.B from University of Nairobi and her ATP qualifications from the Kenya School of Law. Her journey with Uvumbuzi began in 2017 while she was employed as a legal assistant at Kamau, Lando & Associates Advocates where she was introduced to Uvumbuzi Africa and readily volunteered to help coordinate awareness and advocacy events for the organisation.

In time, Natasha realised that her passion lay with the mission of Uvumbuzi especially with regard to youth and women conservation leadership; and seized the opportunity to join the team when she was offered a position. When she is not coordinating the implementation of Uvu-A’s programmes, Natasha enjoys travelling and creative writing with aspirations to give the world an international bestseller one day.

wildlife conservationist Omar Ibrahim

Omar Ibrahim
Position: Programmes Officer

Has spent more than 10 years as a community servant, wildlife conservationist, volunteering in more than 4 Community NGOs with certificates in Gender and Women Empowerment, Peer Counselling, Business Administration and a diploma in Procurement at Daystar University.

Through his passion in environment conservation, he formed Marafiki Green Leaders a CBO in his village to help youths conserve the environment and it is through this passion he found the path to work for Uvumbuzi Africa since 2019, he enjoys travelling, physical fitness and team building.


Stephanie Wandurwa
Position: Legal Consultant

Stephanie is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with an undergraduate Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from Catholic University of Eastern Africa. She also has a diploma from the Kenya School of Law. She is an adventurer by heart and enjoys participating in several outdoor activities that promote a deeper connection to nature.
