Winnie Syombua
CHAIRPERSON
winnie was awarded a Chevening Scholarship (2015/16) and is a 2016 Young Diplomats Forum Fellow, also an alumni of the Global Leadership Initiative (GLI) of the University of Sheffield. She has published her GLI research papers, policy briefs and articles on the Global Policy Journal. Currently, Winnie consults for Reprieve UK on the resentencing of offenders on death penalty in Kenya. She is also the CEO at the Centre for Community Development and Human Rights, an organisation founded in Kibra by the Late Hon. Ken Okoth to promote human rights centred development in Kibra.
DR. IRENE AMOKE PhD.

Dr. Irene is currently the Executive Director of Kenya Wildlife Trust (KWT). An ecologist with over fifteen years’ experience, she has worked in academia, government and the private sector in Kenya, South Africa and the United Kingdom, and is passionate about bridging the gap between science and policy formulation in the conservation sector. Irene graduated with a BSc in Zoology from University of Eastern Africa, Baraton in Kenya.
She holds an MSc in Environmental Assessment & Management, and PhD in Landscape Ecology, both from Oxford Brookes University (UK). She sits on the boards of several conservation organisations.
Moses Kamau

Moses is our Executive Director, wildlife conservationist and a founding member of Uvumbuzi Africa. His passion for conservation was sparked at an early age by a father who loved nature. He possesses a wide range of experience at having worked on conservation, legal and human rights initiatives over the past 20 years and has also worked on media advocacy for the Kenya Constitution.
He has been at the helm of the organization as the Executive Director since its inception and has been passionate in steering it towards local youth and women participation in conservation. He is an advocate of the high court of Kenya and serves on the board of various organizations. He holds a Masters Degree in Politics and Contemporary History and an undergraduate degree in Law with Philosophy
